The person born with a talent they are meant to use will find their greatest happiness in using it.
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

When you want a friend. Be a friend. Same idea ... you can't give away what you don't already experience. I remember the before and after of how this feels.

This is how I went from knowing zip about copywriting to realizing I love to create content specific to the beauty of breakthroughs in personal growth, personal development, and as an entrepreneur at heart ...

The books transported her to new worlds. And introduced her to amazing people who lived exciting lives.

She went on olden-day sailing ships with Joseph Conrad. She went to Africa with Ernest Hemingway and to India with Rudyard Kipling.

She traveled all over the world while sitting in her little room in an English village. ~Roald Dahl Matilda

Let me explain how it worked ...

Starting the Autumn of 2005 -- I took my first adventure for one reason. I was keen to learn this skill.

I didn’t have to learn. Practice. And yes, look like the new artist I am (did you see this page?) as I worked and work on developing the skills I need to create content specific to the beauty of breakthroughs.

I wanted to. I was and am always excited to share what I do know about the beauty of breakthroughs. The only way I can do this is by learning a little, sharing some, and then starting again, and repeating the process over and over again. This … is fun for me.

And, you know what? I feel like I’m in the right place … the right space. Which means I am happy from the inside out. I took a program with Barbara De Angelis, it was called Speaking from the Inside Out.

Expression. There are so many beautiful ways to express yourself … to express your art. Like a stunning collage your interests come together so you can be and create whatever your passion is … just like that. That’s how you feel when you create your art. That’s how I see it.

Keen interest makes a difference. I love the idea of CANI (constant and never ending improvement) because it gives me new and different ways to effectively express myself (personal growth) and my passion (personal development) ...

About Me and My Travels

I didn't travel on an olden-day sailing ship with Joseph Conrad. Go to Africa with Ernest Hemingway, or India with Rudyard Kipling.

I did explore and discover home study and online programs I could take from my living room. I took a program on copywriting for my first adventure. This opened a whole new world to me.

For No Other Reason Other Than for the Love of Writing

I took a second program on copywriting ... and then became a Founder's Circle member of American Writers & Artists Inc. I now have a huge library of resources available anytime I want to learn and practice something new as a copywriter.

Interest. Desire. Curious. Explore. Adventure. These words led me to my passion.

I complimented this training with two more online programs as a student of Brian Tracy University.

  • Sales Service Excellence
  • High Performance Selling

I traveled to Palm Springs where Barbara DeAngelis introduced me to the world of breakthroughs at her Goddess and Breakthrough seminars.

Little did I know, at the time, that this was the start of something beautiful whereby everything about the beauty of breakthroughs would become my passion.

The Adventure Starts Out Just for You -- Based on Innocent Decisions to Know More

The adventure was checking out things I was keenly interested in ... which included a curiosity about breakthroughs. This lead to a desire to explore, study, and experience breakthroughs.

I did realize at the time how everything about breakthroughs was first for me. For personal growth. It had nothing to do with copywriting until later, towards the end of my RMT Training ...

Discovered Online Training Specific to the Beauty of Breakthroughs

The next part of the journey from my living room is my Robbins-Madanes Coach Training online program. And although accomplishment was rewarded with a certificate for coaching, I'm excited to realize the full potential it offers my work as a copywriter. Know what’s even more exciting?

I’m going through it again … and this time it’s totally different. The difference? A whole lot of personal growth.

Everything About the Journey

So far I've shared mostly about the adventures of learning online ... from the computer sitting in my living room.

It's just as important to share how books, CD's, and DVD's have contributed to this journey.

I have favourite stories like ... The One Minute Manager and The Greatest Networker in the World.

I also have other favourite personal growth, personal development and entrepreneur books. Maximum Achievement by Brian Tracy prepared me for my appreciation of breakthroughs.

How Did I Get Here? by Dr. Barbara De Angelis opened me to new discoveries. Awaken the Giant Within by Tony Robbins is a favourite handbook. Tell to Win by Peter Guber intrigued me.

Plus, Unshakable by Tony Robbins, and more specifically as related to personal breakthroughs, Chapter 9, Real Wealth is inspirational and a favourite reference.

I also have an audio library including authors Brian Tracy, Dr. Barbara De Angelis, and Tony Robbins. The Ultimate Edge program is the most recent audio program added to my (small) collection.

But even more importantly … are the people I met. No matter how brief the meeting. I met and spoke with Bob Proctor at one of his events. I met Brian Tracy at events.

I said hi to Mark Victor Hansen as he quickly walked by in discussion with someone at his Mega Book Marketing Event. I met Brendon Burchard and Barbara De Angelis at this same Mark Victor Hansen's Mega Book Marketing Event.

I met Michael Masterson, Paul Hollingshead, Katie Yeakle, and many others at an AWAI Bootcamp.

And, I feel lucky to have met them all because with their inspiration … it somehow seems to make the dream for my career real. More real.

What People Said Made a Difference

Things do not change. We change. ~Henry David Thoreau

The Connection: I enjoyed opportunities to step out and appreciate new experiences at seminars, networking events, and speech workshops.

Happiness is not something you postpone for the future; it is something you design for the present. ~Jim Rohn

 My Biggest Question About Me

For most of my life I have been a very quiet person. Writing gave me a way to fully express myself. Without interruption. This was normal for me. My normal way of being.

I had mega feelings and didn’t, couldn’t, wouldn’t, express them. I also felt, in comparison to others, very slow. In speaking, learning, and making decisions.

No wonder my biggest question about me had everything to do with communication. First I wanted to know how to do it. Then I felt the question, “How do I feel part of when in conversation?”. But even that took some time. Personal growth time.

Looking back, I see how hard I worked at just trying to be me, not some of the time, all the time. I wanted to know how to say what I want to say when I want to say it.

I wanted to get to the bottom of whatever it was (me :) that was stopping me when I wanted to grow. I wanted and always want to be true to me and NOT bullshit myself. Because I learned we can do that and when we do there’s a reason. Even if it’s an inaccurate perspective.

I believe as honest as you are with yourself is as honest as you are with others. I want to be honest in sharing how I really feel … in a way that creates the most connection and love in my relationships.

And, when I experience challenges or problems … I want to come at them with the full strength of who I really am.

All of this is about personal growth. It takes time. The time is the practice put in at doing things a whole lot differently then when you started.

You develop a new habit and replace an old one. Which takes work … as you well know.

Old habits of thought and disempowering beliefs about yourself have to be the hardest habits of all to break. And the most rewarding … because those one or two habits can change your life. From month to month. Day to day. Moment to moment.

This, all of this, is why my appreciation for the beauty of breakthroughs in personal growth grew into my passion.

My biggest question about me and how I communicate has now lead to, “How do I communicate what I love to do?” and, “How can I express my passion through my work?”.

First there is you and personal growth, a true diamond in the rough. Then there's diamond status where developing your strengths and skills changes your perspective in personal growth and personal development. And then, there is your acres of diamonds where anything you do and learn contributes to your work as an entrepreneur at heart.

All of this exposure, to each and every new place ~helped me grow my interests and strengths And, each has helped me realize my passion.

The Next Part of the Journey

Taking first steps first ... would be and is to share the same excitement and enthusiasm for the many adventures that come with experiencing new breakthroughs.

How? I am a copywriter. I create and share content specific to the beauty of breakthroughs in personal growth, personal development, and as an entrepreneur at heart with personalized education-based marketing.

In fact, I want to share how I build new beliefs about what I CAN do. By starting something new ... which is what I did back in 2005 with copywriting.

How does that help my beliefs today? I'm going through the program again. I recently finished the first assignment and want to share it with you.

You should also know the difference between the first letter I submitted to American Writers and Artists Inc. and this one is huge. I'm going through the program for a second time … see what happens when you love what you learn. You don’t do things once and be done. Nope. You pick it up again and again.

See a pattern here? You learn, you grow, with breakthroughs in personal growth, personal development, and as entrepreneur at heart, add one from one and then one or two from another and what have you got? Fresh perspective. Time to go back and pick up that book again.

See what I mean? See how this one strategy empowers beliefs about what you CAN do?

Before and After Building Skills with AWAI

There is a before and after "Restaurant Letter" which is the first assignment from Michael Masterson's Accelerated Program for Six-Figure Copywriting.

  • Before: I'm too embarrassed to show you the first "Restaurant Letter" which was written in 2006. You'd be terribly bored anyway!. After:
  • The second "Restaurant Letter" is an online letter written to Tony Robbins September 2016 and is inspired by my humongous goal.

Breakthrough Experience: Personal breakthroughs have contributed hugely towards working my passion.

Build on Passion: It wasn't until I learned to love who I am that I was able to discover my passion. Connection: I believe there's a connection between the love you feel for yourself and your passion. I really do. This IS my experience.
