All Time Classic Story
One story at a time.
An introduction that leads into the beauty of breakthroughs.
I'm excited to share this breakthrough story with you for a couple of reasons ...
- The work you do in personal growth, personal development, and as an entrepreneur at heart is based on, believe it or not, connection. Starting with you. Your breakthrough experience.
- Everyone is different. And, everyone has different experiences. How can personal growth and personal development be any different? As well as, being an entrepreneur at heart?
I remember thinking to myself that this is the toughest work I've ever done ... making difficult tasks seem easy in comparison.
That thought proved to me that even though you know a breakthrough is necessary for transformation certain habits could be pulling you in the opposite direction.
And, unless you're aware disempowering habits (of the way you actually are) can be one of the things that tug and pull you in different directions the haphazard energy you feel can confuse you. When all you want to do is experience the beauty of the breakthrough.
Beginning to sound like work? It is. I learned it's the most important work you can ever do ... for a lot of really great reasons.
Take and imagine how you feel once you complete a job you don’t want to do … and how good it feels once you’re done. That’s how you feel after you experience a breakthrough. No matter how easy or hard the work feels in the midst of a breakthrough.
The work, unlike any other work in comparison, starts with awareness. Plus then, all the expressions of you in all you do. And, don't do. It's simply you being you. When by yourself. And, with others.
It's not about being perfect.
Unless, it's about you being perfectly you. It's about the beauty of your breakthroughs in personal growth, personal development, and as an entrepreneur at heart. Which is exciting!
... because you're going from knowing what you want to say and how you want to say it to sharing what's important to you and doing it by speaking from the heart. That's my story. Your story?
Have you heard the first story told in the following lecture? If not, that's okay. I'll explain.
And if you have let me introduce it in a way that empowers your story by sharing some of mine with the focus being on the beauty of breakthroughs.
Why? Because I believe your acres of diamonds has everything to do with raw beauty. The you when you’re happiest just being you. And, I believe breakthroughs in personal growth, personal development, and as an entrepreneur at heart lead you to your acres of diamonds.
The All Time Classic ACRES OF DIAMONDS
by Dr. Russell Conwell
The story comes from an Arab guide who was hired in Baghdad to bring Dr. Russell Conwell and his party of English travelers down to both the Tigris River and Euphrates River. By camel.
Dr. Conwell described this guide to be like that of a barber who felt it was part of his job to tell a huge variety of stories. In fact, Dr. Russell Conwell became weary of all the story telling and stopped listening for a time.
He was glad he listened to this one though ... it was about a Persian farmer by the name of Ali Hafed who lived not far from the river Indus. He owned a large farm with orchards, grain fields, and gardens. He was a wealthy man. A contented man.
And then one day, one of the wise men of the east stopped by to visit the Persian farmer. This visitor was an ancient Buddhist priest.
He sat down by the fire and told Ali how the world was made. He said the world was once a mere bank of fog.
He said the Almighty thrust his finger in this fog and whirled it into a solid ball of fire before thrusting it into the universe.
It moved through other fog banks and condensed the moisture until it fell in floods of rain upon its hot surface and cooled the outward crust.
Then the internal fires bursting outward through the crust threw up the mountains and hills, the valleys, the plains, and prairies of this wonderful world of ours.
He said it depended how fast this molten mass came bursting out and cooled that would determine what it became ... if it cooled very quickly it became granite, less quickly it became copper, less quickly, silver, less quickly, gold, and after gold, diamonds were made.
The priest said, "A diamond is a congealed drop of sunlight." It's scientifically true that a diamond is an actual deposit of carbon from the sun.
The old priest then shared something else with Ali Hafed, he said that if he had one diamond the size of his thumb he could purchase the county, and if he had a mine of diamonds, he could place his children on thrones through the influence of their great wealth.
Ali Hafed heard all about diamonds, how much they were worth, and went to his bed that night a poor man. He had not lost anything, but he was poor because he was discontented, and discontented because he feared he was poor. He said, "I want a mine of diamonds." and he lay awake all night.

your acres of diamonds
Your Acres of Diamonds is Discovered with Breakthroughs in Personal Growth, Personal Development, and as an Entrepreneur at Heart.
But how do you do that? When you don't know what you don't know about breakthroughs?
How do you know what questions to ask ... or, that there are even questions and answers about breakthroughs.
How do you get to that point? Does the average person know what a breakthrough is and what happens once you experience one?
How do you help someone who knows nothing about breakthroughs become familiar with them?
I found it helpful to have transformational teachers who would coach and guide me through the beauty of breakthroughs.
Especially since I knew nothing about a "breakthrough" before December 2006.
